Tried all sorts of methods and your cough wouldn’t go away? If that’s the case I highly recommend you trying this crocodile meat soup recipe. According to Chinese culinary culture, crocodile meats have the ability to cure coughs. Along with other soothing ingredients like figs, dragon tongue leaves and tangerine skins, you’ve found the perfect cure! Besides, it tastes good too!
1) Blanch the pork in boiling water and rinse with tap water
2) Soak dried crocodile meat in cold water for one hour, until softened
3) Soak tangerine skin in cold water until softens
4) Defrost frozen crocodile meat
•In a pot of cold water add in ginger slices and defrosted crocodile meats, bring to boil and remove the impurities that float to the top. Now add in blanched pork and dried crocodile meats.
•Boil on high heat for 30 minutes then switch to low heat and continue to boil for another 30 minutes with the lid on or using chopsticks to support it.
•When the flavour comes out, now add in the dragon tongue leaves, tangerine peel and dried figs.
•Continue to boil for another hour and just before serving, add a pinch of salt ?
•PS Crocodile meats are easily found at stores that sell Chinese dried seafoods and products
•PPS Do not try eating the dried crocodile meats after making soup because they are very hard, but the frozen ones are edible
